Toronto, Ontario 1997
Dark Room was developed using the venue of Nightwood
Theatre in Toronto during 1997. A live performance was composed
by a collaborative of director Alisa Palmer, Philip Beesley (digital
imagery synthesis and projection design), Beth Herst (writer) and
Lisa Mark (critic and visual artist) working with four actors. Philip
Beesley and Beth Herst worked together in subsequent production
of an interactive CD-ROM version of the work, Dark Room (Gray Scale,
White Noise).
