The installation Soil was designed for the exhibition Connections/Re-Connections/Inter-Connections at the Mary Black Gallery, Halifax. A geotextile was formed using shaped copper-coated wire with crimped joints and polyethylene slip-connectors. The individual wire forms carried clamping and injection instruments including hollow needles fitted with latex bladders. An array of lead counterweights provided a precarious base layer.
